Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Durham Catholic District School Board is excited to introduce a new regional Arts and Media Program to be located at All Saints Catholic Secondary School. The program will serve Grade 7 to 12 students from across Durham region beginning with the initial cohort of Grade 7, 8 and 9 students in September 2018.

The school will offer a dual track system, which means the existing comprehensive Grade 9 to 12 program will continue to run for students who live within the All Saints Catholic Secondary School boundary.

Staff has been working to develop and implement the program which will begin with an application and audition process in December 2017. At this time, we would like to invite families to learn more about the program at an upcoming information session.

Location: All Saints Catholic Secondary School, 3001 Country Lane, Whitby

Date: Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Staff will provide information about:

  • the school community;
  • the new program and how it will run as part of a dual track system;
  • details about the audition and application process.

Students, parents and guardians who live in Durham Region are welcome to attend and ask questions. Additional sessions will be scheduled in the fall as we prepare to launch the audition and application process. If you require accessible accomodations to participate in this meeting, please contact the school in advance at 905-666-7753.

Sincerely,

Tracy Barill
